Timeless Tunes and Treats
Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 1 p.m.
Faith Immanuel Presbyterian Church is excited to announce an upcoming Community Day on Colonial event, Timeless Tunes and Treats, which will take place on Saturday, March 21 at our church, located at 1801 Colonial Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112. The goal of this event is to foster meaningful connections with our neighbors, gain a deeper understanding of their needs, and explore how we can better serve the community. With your support, we aim to strengthen relationships with residents of both Lower Paxton Township and Susquehanna Township.
The musical group, SweetLife, will entertain guests with beloved songs from the 1940s to the 1970s, as well as their own uplifting originals, sharing stories that will make us laugh, cry, and remember. During the event, we will also hear from the Dauphin County Court Appointed Child Advocates (CASA) and the Keystone Family Alliance about the needs of foster families and how the church can support them.
This is a free event. The snow date will be March 26. A very special thank you to our music sponsor, Jim Elsner from State Farm.
Holy Week Worship at Faith Immanuel
Palm Sunday Service, March 29, 11 a.m.
After breakfast in Shaffer Hall at 9 am, join us in the waving of palms and shouts of “Hosanna” as Jesus makes his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. This day also anticipates the Passion of Christ in the coming week - his betrayal, arrest, suffering and crucifixion.
Maundy Thursday Service, April 2, 5:30 p.m.
FIPC has been invited to join our brothers and sisters at Hope Presbyterian Church in Dauphin for a simple supper at 5:30 pm followed by a Communion service at 6:30 pm. Reverend John Schmidt will preside over the service that commemorates Christ’s Last Supper with his disciples.
Good Friday Service, April 3, 2 p.m.
The most solemn day of Holy Week, this Tenebrae service signifies the crucifixion and agonizing death of Jesus at Golgatha, when darkness fell over the Earth and the Temple curtain was torn in two.
Easter Sunrise Service at the Pond, April 5, 6:30 am
This early morning observance is in collaboration with the Colonial Crest Association, area faith organizations and the community. The Ba’al Tekiah (Master of the Blast), Don Heist, will sound the shofar, an ancient instrument crafted from a ram’s horn, to signal renewal and rebirth. The tomb is empty! A meditation will follow. Hot drinks will be served. Participants are asked to bring their own chairs. Parking is available along the roadways. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held under the portico.
Easter Sunday Service, April 5, 11 am
Glorious music from our vocal and bell choirs and the Vintage Brass, beautiful flowers and great celebration will mark this Resurrection Day service!
