Concerts on Colonial

A Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Memorial Music Series was founded in 2019 with the express purpose of reaching the broadest possible segment of the Harrisburg Community by offering unique, educational, and community building arts and classical music programs regardless of ability to pay. To that end, each concert to date has been presented to the community completely free of charge through the sponsorship of Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Foundation and through the free will donations of community members like you.

Our 2019 - 2020 season featured artists of regional, national, and international acclaim, prior to being cut short by the COVID-19 Crisis.

We have organized the 2021 Summer Season with the intent of reaffirming our commitment to all people.

One of the traditions of Faith Immanuel Church is an annual concert by the Vintage Brass Quintet. Organized by a member of our congregation, tuba-player, Jim Milbrand, and sponsored by the late Bob, and Holly Dash, we will present an apolitical concert entitled "Our America" in Heroes Grove on May 23, 2021 at 3 pm, which will feature soloists from across the region.

One of the most important gifts which the Stablers gave the former Faith Church was a hybrid pipe-digital organ which was given in 1997 in loving memory of "Don" Stabler by his widow Dorothy Stabler. Featuring prominent facade work, this instrument, along with a large stained-glass window, are among the most striking features of our sanctuary. We once again celebrate the Stablers and this gift on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at 2 pm and 4 pm when we welcome New York City organist David Enlow ( Mr. Enlow will present two identical programs (identical except for the improvisation!) to allow for the best possible attendance with complete social distancing. Mr. Enlow will present a workshop sponsored by the Harrisburg AGO the day before his concerts.
